I write noir fiction and nonfiction. My writing is featured regularly at Havok Journal and, occasionally, at Cicero Magazine. I’m a former bouncer, firefighter, soldier, comic, prison chaplain and actor. When I’m not writing, I like Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, improv comedy and directing political rants at my reflection in the bathroom mirror.
If you like Orwell, Mamet, Didion, O. Henry, Rabe, Pinter, Beckett, Hammett, Conrad, Sowell, Steyn, Grice, Prager, Marcinko, Goff, Hanson, stories about redemption, realpolitik, failure, sex, regret, good fights and bad love…then there’s a chance you may not hate what I write.
Please consider buying my first book, Icarus Falling: A True Story About the Broken Dreams, Broken Heart and Broken Bones of a Nightclub Bouncer in LA, currently available on Amazon.com. Click on the link above and you can also read a large sample of the book, if you’re still unsure. And if you can’t get past the vast quantities of sex, violence and personal mayhem, please remember it is only $7.99. And I have a wife and small child to provide for. And we’re down to our last roll of cookie dough.
Not your cup of chamomile? Then how about picking up the collection of my late dad’s short works — I Was A Champion Then: Twelve Stories About Quiet Injustice, Small Rebellions and Restless Hope.
Don’t be a stranger.
